Sunday School for our Youngest Members
A Nursery is provided in the Christian Life Center for infants through two years of age. Vickie and Dennis Hamlett are "Safe Sanctuary" certified care givers.
Three and Four Year Olds, meet on the first floor of the Education Building. Kim Collins and Robin McClellan help this group experience God's love in very real ways.
Preschool and Kindergarden, meet on the first floor of the Education Building. Jerry Parmenter and Linda Hunter teach this group the joy that comes from being God's Children
Sunday School for Elementary Children
First and Second Grade meets on the first floor of the Education Building. Teachers include Lisa Johnson and Anna Siebenhuener, who begin teaching the biblical stories that help us see the world through God's eyes.
Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade meets on the second floor of the Education Building. Janice Sparks leads this lively group as they continue to learn the biblical stories. One goal of this class is to memorize all the names of the books of the bible and their order.
Sunday School for Middle and High School Our Middle School class is taught by John Wheeler. They begin to learn how to use what the bible teaches to make good decisions every day.
Our High School class is taught by Christie Greenway. She helps them begin to explore contemporary issues from a spiritual perspective, using what the Bible teaches to help make choices that will make a difference in the way they live.
for People in their Late Teens and Early Twenties
Neal & Laurie Gibbons offer a place for those home from College or just graduated from High School to gather and fellowship as they look for ways to apply what they've learned about God's vision as they take the first steps away from home. This group meets in the Christian Life Center's Youth Room.
Four Full-Time Adults Classes Plus an Occasional Class
Fellowship Class meets in the basement level of the Sanctuary. Led by various classmembers, this group uses Cokesbury Publishing's "Adult Bible Series" to explore scripture. The discussion is lively and the fellowship is supportive.
Seekers Class meets on the first floor of the Education Building. Teacher, John Beaton, leads the group as it uses the Bible to explore spiritual themes with class participation and discussion.
Serendipity Class meets on the second floor of the Education Building. With teacher, John Robison's help, this group examines contemporary issues of faith. Lively debates and discussions are normal.
Open Door Class, also known as "Bid's Bunch" meets on the first floor of the Education Building. Teacher Charolyn "Bid" Miles leads this group that uses the Bible and other curriculum as it engages in discussions regarding contemporary issues.
Basics of United Methodism provides a quick, four-session look at the basic beliefs and structure of the United Methodist Church. Using the question asked of all who become members; (Will you support the United Methodist Church with your prayers, presence, gifts, and service?) this class explores ways United Methodist's have historically answered these questions and ways we can join them as we serve God. This group normally meets in the Philathea Classroom just off the Sanctuary across from the Church Library.
